Coconino National Forest contains 1.8 million acres of pristine protected areas surrounding Sedona and Flagstaff in northern Arizona with diverse landscapes including deserts, ponderosa pine forests, flatlands, mesas, alpine tundra, and ancient volcanic peaks.
