How Do You Escape From Career Stress?

Stress in the workplace is a common emotion that is felt by employees the world over. This leads to even greater difficulties and is a major cause of dissability. How do you prevent this from becomming a block for you?

Career stress is an enormous problem in American today and, in truth, for workers around the globe. The physical and emotional problems related to workplace stress are costing millions in health care every year and increasing at astronomical rates. Repetitive motions injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome, depression, headaches, back pain, constant feelings of exhaustion and futility are only a few of the health and emotional problems faced by many who suffer from career stress. In fact, there are more divorces, cases of alcoholism and even drug abuse among those suffering from work-related stress.

What’s More Important? Your Goal or The Path You’ve Chosen?

There’s a difference between pursuing a goal and following a plan. One of the two must be the reason for the other. Being too committed to a specific action plan can actually keep you from focusing on your goal. What happens then could take you to the wrong destination!

How committed are you to the plan you are working to accomplish your goal? What if the plan is not really moving you to your goal? What will you do with your plan? Friedrich Nietzsche once observed “Many are stubborn in pursuit of the path they have chosen, few in pursuit of the goal.” If he was right, you don’t want to be part of the majority!
